Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This policy applies to the OC Remote iOS app. OC Remote is an iPhone/iPad client that connects to an OpenCode server URL you configure.
Data Processed by the App
OC Remote processes data that you choose to use in the app, such as:
- server connection settings (for example, server URL, optional username, and password);
- project paths and session metadata;
- messages, prompts, and attachments you send;
- session timeline data returned by your configured server;
- purchase offerings, transaction status, and Pro entitlement status.
Local Storage
Connection settings and credentials, app preferences, project paths and metadata, model selections, and entitlement state are stored in the app's local iOS storage. Downloaded WhisperKit model files are also stored on your device.
New app versions will no longer cache session history for offline use. Older versions may have stored limited recent-session snapshots locally; deleting the app removes app-local data according to iOS behavior.
OpenCode Server Traffic
Messages, commands, attachments, credentials, project details, and session data are sent between your device and the OpenCode server URL you configure. That server and any AI providers or OAuth services connected to it process data under their own policies. HTTPS encrypts this traffic in transit; an HTTP server URL does not provide that protection.
Microphone and On-Device Transcription
If you enable dictation, the app records microphone audio temporarily and uses WhisperKit to transcribe it on your device. The audio is not uploaded for transcription. The resulting text is sent to your configured OpenCode server only if you submit it as part of a prompt.
Downloading a speech model connects to the model hosting service used by WhisperKit. That service may receive standard download request information such as your IP address and request metadata.
Device Permissions
The app requests these permissions when you use the related feature:
- Microphone: to record audio for on-device transcription.
- Camera: to capture a photo and attach it to a message.
The system photo picker can provide selected images without granting broad photo-library access.
Purchases and RevenueCat
Apple processes App Store purchases. OC Remote uses RevenueCat to load offerings, process purchase and restore results, and determine entitlement status. RevenueCat may process a customer identifier, purchase or receipt information, subscription and entitlement status, and device or request information needed to provide those services. RevenueCat's processing is governed by its own privacy policy.
Analytics and Advertising
OC Remote does not include advertising or general-purpose analytics SDKs. RevenueCat is included for purchase and customer-status processing as described above.
Trademark and Affiliation Notice
OC Remote is an independent client app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenCode or Anomaly Innovations, Inc. References to "OpenCode" are used only to describe compatibility with user-configured OpenCode servers and APIs.
Data Retention and Control
Retention on your configured server, AI providers, Apple, RevenueCat, and the model host is controlled by their settings and policies. Remove saved connections in the app to delete their Keychain credentials. Because iOS may preserve Keychain items after app deletion, remove connections before deleting the app if you want those credentials removed.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
